  • rifleman/woman NVQ or military service completed before 2004,

  • maintain weapons, ammunition, mines and other explosive devices, and other material and technical resources,
  • handle and maintain section-level weapons and equipment,
  • handle and maintain section-level weapons and equipment and implement tactical procedures in a combat zone,
  • prepare and inspect the armament of an armoured vehicle before use,
  • execute firing from an armoured vehicle and carry out the tasks of an armoured vehicle weapon and weapons systems operator,

Accessors

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here [2].

VALIDATION

During the verification procedure, the candidate will prepare a personal portfolio with the help of Armed Forces personnel support. This will be evaluated by a committee and the content recognised in full or in part. In the event that the committee is unable to recognise all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification.
