- At least a secondary vocational qualification in the catering field and at least two years’ work experience as a sommelier, which the candidate must prove by means of a letter of reference from an employer or a contract of employment, or
- at least a secondary vocational qualification and at least three years’ work experience as a sommelier, which the candidate must prove by means of a letter of reference from an employer or a contract of employment.

The date of the examination is the date on which the commission reviews the personal collection folders of candidates. If you decide to obtain an NVQ, we suggest that you call the provider as soon as possible, inquire about your options, and apply to the process for obtaining the certificate (fill in and submit the Application for obtaining an NVQ with the help of the provider).
If there is no specified date next to the provider, they have not yet scheduled any deadlines for obtaining an NVQ. We suggest that you call the provider and inquire about new dates.
