Peter wants to know who are the NVQ counsellors helping candidates to acquire NVQ.

As he tries to find out more about the counsellors, Peter remembers the friendly consultant who supported him while he was acquiring his NVQ. The counsellor’s task is to monitor, encourage, and guide the candidate throughout the entire process of obtaining the NVQ certificate and, specifically, to assist them in the preparation of their personal portfolio which is a crucial tool in this process.

Once the personal portfolio has been prepared, the counsellor shall verify that it is properly prepared, and send it to the members of the NVQ verification and validation committee for evaluation.

The counsellors are specifically trained for the work that they do. They know how to recognise the possibility of a candidate to use and enforce their work experience and non-formal learning experience when it comes to obtaining the desired NVQ certificate.
